Most people hate their jobs. Well, I don't like mind, but I don't hate it. Mainly because I get to eat, well, eat lots of nice stuffs, sometimes for free ;-)

Oh, there's 1 thing I can't understand. Despite all the eating and drinking, I'm not gaining weight at all, arhhhh. Still slim old renyi, maybe I ought to go to the doc for a check up T_T


Not all the places that we visited are worth blogging, but some do. One of my best memories is the Purple Cane Tea House. A unique tea house near Petaling Street. Love the flower tea (yes, tea from flower, not tea leaves). A beauty to look at, a healthy drink, and doesn't taste bad at all ^.^.


Another cafe in Petaling Street that actually caught my attention is C U THERE Cafe. You can scribble graffiti on the walls, and the huge variety of drinks rocks. Too bad, the cafe seem to be "tuned" for teenagers.

The trip to Petaling Street will not be completed without visiting the famous ikan panggang stall. Nuff said. Check out the pictures, yummy ...

After being so sick for the pass 2 weeks (Meiji's Chocolates + Thai Tomyam combo after effects), finally got time to blog again :p

SUNDAY

Sunday is my favorite and also the most hated day of the week. Sunday = day to laze around, and Sunday also means that tomorrow is Monday T.T

I've added a few new gadgets to my blog. Love quotes, a bio-Biorhythm thingy and a bodybuilding daily tip gadget. My fav is the Sky.fm gadget, check out the trance and house channel, they rock !

I've also added a new gadget to my collection, Sony Ericson K800i. Not a new thingy, I got it at a very low price, 2nd hand stuff. I needed another phone, and the phone's not bad. 3G, Cybershot, yadda, yadda. Enough for my needs.

TIRED ! I practically slept the whole day today. Came home about 9am after DOTA session (marathon...) with Cyrix and Vince. Back to work now, plenty of hackings needed for my Food Station project. One important thing that's still pending is a gosu logo, :(.

Jas, u don't know how much I miss your skill here, xD

Another tired day had passed ... This is the 3rd week that I need to rush my proj, burning through the nite, and sleep in the morning ~

Still struggling with the CMS, I finally fixed the chinese locale. The website finally display chienese character correctly without crashing the database ...



Enough of work, I'm looking forward/can't wait/still deciding if I wanna go for this year's Recharge rave in Malacca .... To go .. not to go ... to go. ... not to go... xD (Can feel Rossie ready to throw hammer at me :p)

MM/DD/YY or DD/MM/YY or ... ?

I've done some maintainence on one of my website. Before I sleep, I decided to transfer some articles from my old blog here.

Just realized that the date format for editing post date and time is MM/DD/YY thou I specify DD/MM/YY in my settings. The old interface is a little more ugly, since it uses combo boxes for all the date fields but atleast its British-date-style-proof then. Well, I'm too lazy to backtrack what I've done wrong, so don't complain to me "Gmail doesn't exist then !" or something.

Btw, I've also added more stuffs to the right bar of my blog, and added this digg-it digger button.

Hmm, I also noticed that blogger added "labels" from gmail. Gotta try to use this, :p

I'll continue to beautify this ugly blog more as I have more time ^^.

P/S OMG, just found out that bawang is blogging xD. Will get u something nice for ur 21st B-Day, come back get from ur sis, :p

Open source software ? Arhhhhh

Open source is good, for one thing most of them are free. But even sponsored open sourced projects have problems sometimes. Is open source the excuse for "Hei, we make mistakes, so what, u're getting it for free? "

Well, I'm babbling this cause I'm in a really bad mood now. Why ? I'm developing a website, a portal actually. So I tried out this gosu CMS (Content Management System). It works great, got everything I wanted. But when I started developing the chinese version of the website, I started having problems. The chinese words are not coming out. Ok, being a modern software, I double check that it supports UTF-8, yep. Check the docs, supports chinese, yep. I traced this problem for nearly 3 days, and finally, I found a post about it. It advised me to check the database.

So what happened here ? Open sourced CMS means the database = MySQL normally, and MySQL supports UTF-8 ? So what's the problem ?

The problem is, some of the tables in the core modules are not using UTF-8. For some reason, they were default to Latin-Swedish. No offence to Swedish programmers here, and to the CMS team, you guys are great programmers, giving out free stuffs and so on. But mind you, the rest of the world don't fucking read/write swede !

Ok, I blew up what I wanted to say. Back to hacking. Overdue projects, late nite hackings, daily routine for a programmer.

First keep in mind:
Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment
package, while Husband 1.0 is an
operating system.

Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT
YOU LOVED ME and download
Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.

If all works as designed, Husband 1.0
should then automatically run the
applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers
3.5.

But remember, overuse can cause
Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy
Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late
Night Teh Tarik 6.1.

Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program
that will create SnoringLoudly.wav
files.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-
in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another
Boyfriend program. These are not
supported applications and will crash
Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great
program, but it does have a limited
memory and cannot learn new
applications quickly.

You might consider additional software
to improve memory and performance. I
personally recommend Hot Tasty Food
3.0 and Tongkat Ali 6.9.

Post-CNY Report

Officially, CNY isn't over. But according to my company, I have to start work tomoro, so unofficially its over for me...

CNY as predicted, is BORING for me. The first day of new year falls on a weekend, means less public holiday, as an unconfirmed staff with no leave, means less holiday ! Less holidays also means less travelling, less yumcha session, less visiting and gamling sessions .... ~ Arhhhh

It's not good to mention bad luck during this period of time, however badluck continues to haunt me !!!! CNY this year, as usual, too lil angpow money, spend too much money on petrol travelling, lost abit too much chor tai de, no mahjong session yet, most of my frens either back in hometown, of bz gambling, or bz travelling and KL is surprisingly crowded ! Nearly crashed my car a few times, got over divider cause too sleepy during drive, and the only alchohol I touched was beer ! Arhhhh

Man, I guess ppl spend more time eating out and shopping than visiting this year. Lots of weird things happened. Normally, during CNY, I get to imagine overheated afternoons while visiting frens and relatives for my ANGPOWs. Surprisingly this year, thou hot, it RAINED several times. As predicted, less relatives visited (I live with my grandad, so basically, i wait for ppl to visit xD), less angpow. Worst, the angpows getting lighter. Luckily the 'family angpows' value didn't go down.

Well, I spend most of my CNY sleeping. 3 days passed like, well, like its not 3 days. Best thing that happened, managed to drag some friends to watch ghost rider, and Protege.

P/s Did I mention my streamyX and Hotlink barred ? Arhhhhh

Should you go after chicks u met in Club ?

Well, a couple of my frens (yes more than 1 !) are having a hard time after being dumped. Well they're not net ppl, so I doubt/hope they'll not see this xD. Seems like they have the same patern/choice of girls. Club chicks are ez to know (hell, u can get all kinds of signals, they're just waiting for u to approach). However, small advise, don't get too serious too easily.

Let's analyse things a'lil. When guys and girls club, they only have 1 thing (mainly..) in mind, FLIRT aka Have Fun. No matter what first impression u gave, you're just another name on the phone book. 8/10 girls that declare themselves single, are not, while 8/10 guys that says they're single usually are. Do the math.

Just like that way Brother Eri puts it (top-10-mistakes-most-men-make-with-women, Mistake #5), girls got the experience compared to guys when it comes to flirting. Hell, how many girls can a guy flirt with, compare to how many guys flirting a girl ? @.@ A good looking dude and a hot chick walking into a club, check their miss calls when they're done clubbing. The chick will most likely outnumber the dude 3:1 ! Do the math.

Point is, you might have better luck going after the girl, if you met her in a mall or something, compared to the same girl u might first met in a club. I'm not against flirting, just don't get serious to easily, ;p

Just my 2 cents, u can try thou. Might get lucky, ;)

P/S Guys, don't stop your girl from clubbing just because you read this. There might be a 1001 negative things u can say about a girl, but u can't question her fierce loyalty for her man. The pain will goes to the guy she flirts with, but her heart remains with you. Jealousy is a biatch, if u take a step back and look, things will fall back into perspective.
