I have recently noticed that Fire Fox was eating up 100,000KB of ram when it only had two tabs open and I have searched over the net and found a fix which is working for me at the moment.
Greeting from Panama. Thanks for that tip regarding Firefox's memory leaks. I haven't experienced those high levels; even though sometimes the memory demands reaches 70,000 which I consider high.
I just downloaded Firefox 1.5 and don't know if the memory problem still persists. If it does, than I know what to do.
