Happy Valentine's Day !

Well, cupids should be hard at work now. I just realized that Valentine's Day occurs just after Chinese's "Lau Kam" festival. Dont think lighty of this "Lau Kam" event, I have several friends who really met chicks and are likely to go on V-Day dates with them !

I'm not really sure how it works, but basically, the girls normally put their names and contact number (e-mail and other e-stuffs now ...) on the mandarin oranges and throw them into the river. The guys then rush to get them. Its a little different in Kepong the other day. The event didn't happen near a river and the oranges ended up in a big pail ..... Ofcourse, the guys are still rushing for the oranges, haha.

During discussion with some of my friends during our bachelor yumchar session earlier, we were discussing what plans do we S.A.D. Inc. (Single, Available, Desperate XD) guys have tomoro (14th Feb). I'm surprise that some of them have been lucky catching oranges earlier, ;p One of them even get 3 contacts I heard. And the best of all, its not prank contact no. as he was actually able to speak on the phone with all 3 of them ! Lucky bastard, ^.^

Anyway, good luck and have fun for all love birds ! Remember, safety first, hehe. For lonely hearts like me, tomoro is just another working day I guess, ^.^

CNY almost over !

Chinese New Year is almost over, but my holidays are over :( Back to work again I guess .....

CNY is kinda boring for me this year. I got less than 10 angpows (YES, less than TEN, 1 0), and stuck at home whole week playing RAN on9. Didn't go anywhere, didn't gamble, didn't drink, and didn't visit Uncle Lim (swear !)

The most exciting thing I did was when Moy and Iris came yesterday, joining me and Kish for a movie. Fearless is a pretty good movie, but it could've been better. As usual, the day (night) is cap off with a dota session. Moy, Kish and I was rusty enough. Kish and I are playing RAN on9, excusable, whatabout g0suMoy ? hehe

After 2 weeks plus of RAN-ning, I'm now at level 65 ! Now I can pwn noobs, muahahah, XD I made almost 20 lvls last week, thanks to a boring CNY week .....

I'm now considering to play Silk Road Online too if boredom comes to it. All your fault Yan, bugging me to play all the times, tish ! You better gimme a good noobeh strat when I start !

I just came back fr Ipoh yesterday (no pics !), 1 day trip. Supposed to be a setup trip, but the manager requested that I help promote the fair too >.<. Now I have to go back there with Leong this Thurs ... ( No blogging, RANning, DOTAing .... for the whole weekend !). We'll be back by Monday hopefully .......

And yea, Thurs is Pioneer's promoter meeting day, means this is the day we calc our monthly aquired wealth, and ofcourse eat bullets from the managements. Hope I can leave early due to Ipoh trip, ;p

Friday the 13th !

Omfg its Friday the 13th ! Thank god nothing bad happened to me, ;p In the matter of fact, nothing happened today. Was late to work, and darn Sunway's parking was full. So I haaad to drive around for about an hour before I can park.

Went window shopping with Ryan and eddie toady (Pioneer HQ guys, suppose to spot check me, but bring me go ular ^.^) Saw a shoe and shirt I really like. Since its Nike, I didn't bring the cash, ;p Might get them tomoro. Atleast I got somethign new to wear during CNY, ;p

Weee, CNY is near. Stupid senQ decided to open during CNY and requested for promoters. Morale of the staffs there are low, and since I'm not staff (supplier's promoter, muahahaha) I can to show off my CNY leave, hehe. Still not sure who's suppose to work then yet, the guy in charge of the duty roster must have headache now since most senQ staffs are chinese.

No thanks to cyrix (leong) and Fei Po (Fat Po !), I'm not officially addicted to RAN Online ! Bleh, its only my 2nd day playing and I think I spend more than 15 hours on it. >.< The download servers are slow, unless u pay for them. Thank God I have streamy and the download is done by the time I'm home, ^.^

1337 Stuff

I've switched over to firefox 1.5 aka Deer Park on my desktop Gentoo Linux for sometime now. The thing is, I found that its VER VERY slow compare to the previous version (especially on Friendster and Blogger ! >.<). I'm still using the old firefox 1.x in my 2 WindowsXP box. Wonder if the problem lies in the OS ? No, I had yet to try 1.5 on WinXP.

Recently, Liferea (my fav RSS reader !) failed to emerge on my Gento, I can't live without news (ok, I did ignore it for about 2 weeks), finally, I decided to RSSOwl as my altenative newsfeed reader, while Liferea gets fix (I still think its a prelink problem, howoever I dont have time to test it ....) First things first, I importeed all the feed from Liferea easily. I'm still not used to the layout and defaults of RSSOwl, I'm starting to miss Liferea already. However, the good news is, RSSOwl seems much fastere the Liferea (althougth its Java based, maybe its just me ?). The SWT toolkit makes the GUI beautiful and responsive. Some of the features I like here that is missing from Liferea includes PDF/RTF/HTML convertion, ability to display all news at the same time, unless u click on the categories, and much more. I haven't been playing around with it, but I can tell u I'm missing Liferea a lil less now ........ The thing that really annoys me is that the minize to taskbar feaature doesn't work well with my fluxbox >.<
